Current Situation in Syria

In Syria, childhood has been interrupted by war. Where classrooms once echoed with learning and laughter, there is now silence, rubble, and loss.
After more than 14 years of conflict:

Over 7,000 schools have been destroyed
60% of the remaining schools urgently need rehabilitation
2.4 million children are out of school
1.6 million are at risk of dropping out

Without safe schools, children are pushed into child labor, forced to provide for their families instead of learning. Young girls face early marriage, their futures taken before they’ve had a chance to dream. Education is not a luxury it is protection. A classroom is more than walls and desks.
