For more than 14 years of conflict, Syria’s children have carried one of the heaviest burdens of war.

Today, more than 2.4 million children across Syria are out of school, while +7,000 schools have been damaged, destroyed, or left unable to operate after years of conflict, displacement, and economic collapse.

In northern Syria, education is no longer simply about learning.

For vulnerable children and orphans, access to school means safety, stability, protection, and the opportunity to build a future beyond crisis.

Without it, many children face a very different reality: lost potential, deepening poverty, exploitation, and a future shaped by hardship instead of opportunity.

These children cannot afford to lose another school year.

That is why Syrian Forum USA is building the Al Mountada Model School in Jarablus, northern Syria. But this is not simply another school. This is a long-term investment in children whose futures have been disrupted by war.

Designed to serve nearly 200 vulnerable children and orphans, Al Mountada Model School is built on a comprehensive education model that goes far beyond the classroom, combining quality education, emotional wellbeing, family engagement, and holistic care to help children recover, grow, and thrive.

Every child enrolled will receive access to a complete learning environment designed to remove the barriers that often keep children in Syria out of school.

This includes safe transportation, nutritious daily meals, school uniforms, learning materials, psychosocial support, extracurricular activities, and access to high-quality educational facilities.

The school itself is being designed to provide children with everything they need to succeed.

Modern classrooms that provide quality learning experience.
A computer lab where students gain essential digital skills.
A science lab that encourages discovery and innovation.
A library that helps children develop a lifelong love for learning.
Sports facilities and playgrounds where children can simply be children again.
A safe, nurturing environment where children can begin rebuilding confidence after years of uncertainty.
Because education is not about teaching children how to read and write.
It is about creating future generations capable of rebuilding Syria.

This vision is already becoming reality.

Thanks to a generous contribution of $195,000 from the Zachariah & Dania Group, the land has already been secured, and major construction progress has already been completed.

But to fully complete the school and open its doors for students by September 2026, we urgently need to raise the remaining $230,000.
